Our 245-bed, two-campus acute care regional facility is fully accredited by the State of Tennessee and The Joint Commission (TJC).

Our new, four-story, all-private room patient tower offers state-of-the-art facilities and equipment. The recently expanded emergency department, with dedicated fast track featuring ER Extra, ensures rapid response for you and your family in an emergency. New additional state-of-the-art technology includes 64-slice CT with CT cardiac scoring, digital mammography, nuclear medicine, and echo stress testing to name a few.

We are among the best in the state in the most recent state data for Hospital Quality measures. University Medical Center has met or exceeded state averages for Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI), Heart Failure, Pneumonia, Surgical Care, and Outpatient Measures for Surgery and Acute Myocardial Infarction. We rank among the best in the region on our most recent patient satisfaction survey measured by Press Ganey: Inpatient 92%, Outpatient 90%, and Emergency Services 85%.
As Wilson County’s only tax-paying hospital we employ over 800 of your neighbors with a $30m payroll. We have 7,000 admissions, 8,000 surgeries, 30,000 ER visits, and 800 births annually. In addition, there are over 270 board certified physicians representing over 32 specialties to meet your healthcare needs.
