University Medical Center’s is proud to provide free sports screenings to student athletes at their upcoming 16th annual event slated for May 22nd.
“As a community organization, it is a great honor for University Medical Center to assist our area athletes and to work in partnership with our area schools,” stated Vince Cherry, Chief Executive Officer of University Medical Center.
He continues, “We feel very fortunate to be in a position to provide this special service. As we all know, many in our community and many of our patients are struggling to make ends meet in this challenging economy. Our free sports screening is one way in which we can truly help our neighbors” stated Cherry. Screenings are required for athletic eligibility by the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association (TSSAA).
“University Medical Center offers a team approach to sports medicine and provides certified athletic trainers at all sporting events and practices for Lebanon High School, Mt. Juliet High School, Watertown High School, Wilson Central High School, Macon County High School and Friendship Christian School – as well as their respective junior highs.”
