As an added convenience for our patients, University Medical Center is pleased to offer Online Hospital Pre-Registration and Online Hospital Bill Paying.
University Medical Center has developed an online pre-registration application, which you can fill out in advance of your visit in the comfort of your own home or office. According to Connie Mann, UMC Director of Business Services, “We are pleased to bring online patient pre-registration and online bill paying to our patients. These online versions are now at your fingertips by visiting the UMC website -www.universitymedicalcenter.com. It is fast, easy and efficient. Our patients have commented that it was a big time saver and offers added convenience.”
University Medical Center’s online pre-registration and online bill paying is simple, secure and available to you anytime you need it. To complete your online pre-registration application, you will need the following information: Your insurance card Referral form or letter, if appropriate Information about your doctors, including names and addresses Emergency contact information Fill out the Online Pre-Registration Application and submit it directly over the Internet using our highly-secure system. It is recommended that you pre-register at least one business day prior to your expected admitting date to ensure ample processing time. Once the UMC Registration Department receives your pre-registration application, we will take care of your pre-registration process. All patients must stop by main admitting in the main Outpatient Center Lobby to sign a Condition of Admission form to complete the registration process.
The online bill paying service features: Access and view your updated account information 24 hours-a-day, seven days-a-week. Use your Visa, MasterCard, to pay your accounts online. View recent insurance payments and personal payments applied to your accounts. Easily update your accounts when your personal information changes. Get answers to your questions and communicate with the business office via e-mail.
University Medical Center follows federal guidelines that help protect patient's health information by limiting the amount of information provided to the public without patient authorization.
The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) is a federal law that is designed to ensure the portability of health insurance for individuals from one job to another and protect patient health information. Protected health information is any health information that can be used to identify a patient and relates to health-care services provided to the patient or the payment of those services. It includes all medical records and other information, which identifies the patient, such as demographic, medical and financial - in any form - electronic, paper or spoken.
